Our mission

We keep Germany moving, even in less mobile times. The pandemic may have limited our freedom, but it only strengthened us in our resolve to deliver on our mission and do our part for society. Strong Rail means ensuring that people can get from A to B, and that consumers and businesses can count on receiving the goods and supplies they need – especially when so much of what we as a society used to take for granted is no longer quite as simple. Society can count on us – we have done our part before, and we will continue to do our part now. The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority.

Our responsibility also includes making mobility sustainable. Trains are an eco-friendly mode of transport, and shifting traffic from the roads to the rails on a massive scale is the only way that Germany and Europe can meet their climate targets. Taking the train protects the climate – and each investment in Strong Rail is an investment in a green, mobile future: for the climate, for people, for the economy and for Europe.
